Who we are
This fortune cookie site is an independent project made in Spain. It started with a simple idea: opening a fortune cookie on your phone should feel as close as possible to opening a real one, with the crunch, the paper slip and the lucky numbers. Today the site is available in six languages and visited every month by people from many countries.
How the fortunes are written
All 96 fortunes were written for this site and translated by hand into each language, checking that they read naturally rather than like machine translation. The sayings in the Proverbs category are traditional and in the public domain. Articles on history, the recipe and lucky numbers cite their sources.
Our principles
- It's entertainment. No fortune predicts anything or replaces professional advice.
- No gambling. The numbers are random and we don't encourage betting with them.
- Kind messages. No promises about health or money, no adult content.
- Privacy first. No sign-up, and your collection stays in your browser.
- Corrections. If you spot a mistake in an article, tell us and we'll fix it.
How the site is funded
The site is free and supported by ads and sponsorships. Sponsored content is always labeled and never changes what a cookie says.
